‘Every dress has a story.
Let me tell you mine...’
Dora is in love with a man who barely notices her, has a job she doesn’t care about, and dresses entirely for comfort, not style. All a far cry from her vivid, eccentric childhood, growing up with her beloved grandmother Mimi.
However, when disaster strikes, Dora knows she has no choice but to return to her childhood home and take over running Mimi’s vintage clothing shop. And there she makes a surprising discovery – Mimi’s been writing stories to accompany every dress she sells. Romantic, heartbreaking tales about each one’s secret life before it got to her shop...
Dora starts to matchmake these lonely frocks with new owners, but will the stories help her as well? Trading her boring high street clothes for vintage glamour is one thing. What she needs to know is whether she can trade her safe old life – and love – for something better too?

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

This story is about Dora who lost her parents when young and was brought up by her kindly grandmother. Her Grandmother was called Mimi and she owned a dress shop selling good vintage clothes which proved to be popular. However, Mimi became very ill so Dora kept running the shop. She had to wear some of the clothes instead of her usual knockabout clothes. However she discovered little stories written by Mimi in pockets of the dresses and their history. This proved very interesting.
Very interesting story about the history of some of the clothes and their original owners.

Passed the book to Goldenwattle.

Oh boy, did I screw up. Went to our BookCrossing meetup with one book and came home with three. This site is supposed to be about releasing books, not filling the shelves with 'em!

Luckily, I can blame my wife for this. She likes sewers and sewing far more than I do.

This was a quick and enjoyable read. I loved the secret stories of the dresses especially. This book will go on a journey to Sydney to my sister although I know I will get it back again as she doesn't like to leave the books anywhere - lol.
When I get it back I will leave it at a little library.
