This was a phenomenal book. The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of 10 is because of the graphic description of some events that took place on the boat. It is an amazing story that held my attention. I read it both in hard "hand held" and in audiobook form. Outstanding! Thank you Karyl!

I was completely fascinated by this book all the way through it. The reader was excellent, he was very believable in his accent and in the general performance of the story. The story itself was just amazing, it was at times depressing, funny, tedious, horrifying, and fanciful.
I loved it!

Arrived in today's mail from BananaForce as a relay! I loved this book when I read it and am looking forward to revisiting the story through audio format. I'm about half way through the third tape of this audio book. The second tape is starting to show some wear and I had to completely skip the second side. Luckily I already read the book so I can skip parts and rejoin the story with an idea of what is going on. Either way, it is fun to revisit this story again. I'm planning to offer this as a RABCK on the forum if someone is interested in trying to listen to it. Maybe they'll have better luck than I did. Thanks to all for passing this book along to me.

I finally finished this audiobook and mailed it to garnetfairy as a RABCK today. I really only had trouble with casette 2, side 2 and the rest of the book could be heard clearly. Garnetfairy is aware of the problem, but wanted to hear this audio anyway, so its on its way. Hope she enjoys it.

THANK YOU so much for this audio book. I had planned to read the book for a while but now that I am into audio, I am very Happy to have it on audio instead. It is only available in print at my county library.

I will probably pass it on in the audio bookbox I have signed up for so it will keep moving.

Liked the beginning. Hated the middle. Really went on too long for me about the boat experience. I read Max and the Cats first and it is such a total retelling of that book that it made me mad.
