An Erika Falck and Patrick Hedstrom mystery. One of a series set in rural Sweden. A good story, well told. I enjoy this series, though I was prepared to ignore the Scandinavian noir genre. Camilla Lackberg combines the story of a working mother with who-dun-it murders in a small village in Sweden.
I read the first in the series The Ice Princess and enjoyed it so must get the others in the series from the library.

I too attended the function in Waikanae where we were privileged to view all the crafty and well designed features of the new house plus truly stunning views.

I approach Camilla Lackberg with caution because I have read one of her books and didn't find it quite as gripping as many of my favourite Scandinavian authors. We'll just have to see.

Once again I found some elements of this author's writing style rather infuriating, using platitudes for example. However despite this tediousness being irritating by the time I got to the end I though perhaps I would like to read the next book in this sequence.
Had the chance to pick up during a Skype discussing with our son who has read numerous Lackberg books and disagrees with my slightly disparaging remarks.
I'll fry one more before diving up entirely. Thanks Fee - glad to have had the chance to ty again.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Posting to very good BC friend catsalive as it is on her wish list and I have checked that she would like it. Has taken me a bit longer to post than I intended but don't think any further incidents will take place in the book before it arrives safely in her hands.

I'm still arguing politely with out oldest son Keith who basically enjoys the same books as I do but he obviously thinks more highly of Lackberg than I.
Will be interested to learn what this next reader thinks of it.

Travel safely little book.
Warmly
Jan

Thankyou for sending this wishlist book, lovely Sherlockfan.

My feelings are mixed so far: I enjoyed "The Ice Princess" very much, but was underwhelmed by "The Lost Boy". Maybe this one will be the decider.
