My mother passed this on for me to release as part of BC RACE TO A MILLION And Release Challenge.

She enjoyed it, but not as much as Bridges of Madison County by the same author.

Journal Entry 2 by mrsjones at Avenue Cafe in Mason, Ohio USA on Tuesday, March 09, 2004

This book has not been rated.

Released on Tuesday, March 09, 2004 at Avenue Cafe in Mason, Ohio USA.

Kind of a themed release - the book and restaurant both have the word "Cafe" in them. :)

I'm releasing the book tonight when I go for dinner. Probably in the Women's restrooms.

I was so excited to find this book. Today I had one of my wild releases found (first time) and I caught a wild release (also first time). I went to find this book and found my post-it-note from a book I recently released on it. We practically traded books.
I have read Bridges of Madison County and enjoyed it. I am sure I will also enjoy this one. Thanks.

Journal Entry 7 by guinaveve from Mason, Ohio USA on Wednesday, March 24, 2004

7 out of 10

My mom gave this back to me, and I just finished it. I liked it okay. Sometimes short stories are great and the author wrote of things he was passionate about and used wonderful prose. As in any collection of short stories, I was much more intersted in some without much enthusiasum for others. All in all it was a good book.

Reserved to give away at the May '02 mom's meeting.

Received at a May '02 Mom meeting in Indianapolis on July 31st. I'm looking forward to reading this one, although with the reviews so far, my expectations aren't very high. But it's the next read on my list - I'll let you all know what I think very soon!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Left on a bench in the middle of the restaurant.

This book was much better than I expected. The essays were very sweet and it made it even a better experience knowing that the people Robert Waller was writing about were people he knew in his own life.
