Adam Symes, a gossip columnist and would be author, joins in the parties of the Bright Young Things in 1920s London.

This started off quite light-hearted but became really quite dark (apparently Waugh's marriage broke up while he was writing it). First published in 1930, the end is quite spookily prescient. Enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to, as I loathed "Scoop".

Hallo daar, vinder! Als je dit leest, heb je een boek gevonden. Gefeliciteerd! Hopelijk is het iets dat je leuk vindt; zo niet, dan heeft het je toch tenminste hier gebracht en dat is ook wat waard. Je mag het boek gerust doorgeven aan iemand anders, of zomaar ergens achterlaten. Ondertussen was je toch maar mooi nieuwsgierig genoeg om op deze site te komen kijken. Kijk gerust wat rond.
