This is one of 90 books donated on 10/30/16 by my friend from New Boston, New Hampshire, to the Little Free Library of Twinbrook (#7200). Thank you so much for your incredible generosity!
I'm keeping this book a while because my three-year-old grandson asked me to read Little Mermaids to him.

Picked this book up at the July BC in DC meet-up. I love reading fairy and folk tales. This book is beautifully illustrated by Gennady Spirin.
I've always loved reading fairy & folk tales. My mother read to me the original Grimm's and Anderson's fairy tales not the modern cleaned up politically correct (PC) versions that are mostly found here in the US.
Warning:
This book is written in the the original style of fairy & folk tales. Nothing PC about them. They contain prejudice, primarily the social and class prejudices of the times in which they were written, violence, relentless bullying and happily ever after endings for some. However, having said all that, these tales do have a moral to convey.....the moral being that goodness, kindness and love conquers hate/evil and and that hard and honest work has great rewards.
To the person who finds this book.....
Keep it or release it, read it or not, but please make a journal entry to let me know it's been found. Keep it, pass it on to a friend or release it into the wild.... let the journey continue.....
If you are new to BookCrossing, welcome! You can remain anonymous or join BookCrossing it's free, spam free and loads of fun.

I picked this up at a Bookcrossing event a few months ago, and forgot to journal it at the time. Sorry about that! This is a beautifully illustrated collection of traditional fairy tales, as written by Hans Christian Andersen.
I'm giving this away at the BC-DC holiday party.
