Started October 11, 2016; finished October 22. A moderately difficult read. Sentence structure often had me rereading to understand what was being said.

The book was a 6 or 7 until I got to the last 47 pages. After setting up a suspense filled mystery in pretty decent fashion a new character is introduced out of the blue to explain all that has happened. The conclusion does not fit all that precedes it. It is a huge disappointment. I am not likely to read more Cornwell books if this is representative of her style.
