I've seen DCI Banks on TV and like it because it's set up north where I come from. Found in the Valentin book box.

I think I like DCI Banks better on TV than in the book but it was still a good read, quite topical - and it is set in my part of the world, originally - in fact it's quite possible that only last week I drove through the area where the murder takes place. I tried to identify the estate Mimsy came from as Thornaby (he says it is between Stockton and Middlesbrough) but then Robinson says at the end that he invented it. It didn't seem like Thornaby anyway.

I enjoyed all the music.
