Anyone who's every been part of a all-female team, committee, panel, group, or other organization is sure to recognize most, if not all, of the characters in this book.

Set in England, the book follows the changing dynamics of a clique of super-moms over one year, giving us brief snap-shot looks into their lives through their interactions with each other, their children / husbands, the school board, and the community at large - with a healthy dose of humor thrown in.

Picked up at the October meeting, along with a cold it seems.

Taken to the October meeting: To the Nines. I read a lot of chick lit for this theme - high society, queen bees etc. Perhaps that wasn't the smartest move in high stress September!

Just about put this down after about 3 pages BUT said no - give it a chance. Surely Bea can't be this horrible. Yes - she can. Then you read the back stories about the other characters and the tale of how bees operate with their Queen Bee draws parallels and you start to see the characters gain strength.

I am taking this to the November meetup at Cravings.

Just received this book at last meeting. haven't read it yet

There is a queen bee in this group of women and the book revolves about what the queen bee likes and how the rest of group follow whatever she says or does.
