I found this softcover, signed by the author, on the charity-sale shelves at a local Hannaford's. The cover-art with the eerie stick-figure appealed to me, and it turns out it is a key part of the plot - but the premise of a pair of psi-gifted children being hunted down by people with their own ideas of how to use their gifts wound up getting a bit over-wrought for me. (I also found it a wee bit predictable.)

Some atmospheric, creepy bits, and some regional color - fun for those who know the area.

I left this book, bagged against the elements, in one of the brick arches of the strip mall across from the Billerica town common at around 3:30 or so. [Had hoped to leave it on a bench or gazebo in the common but the snow's too deep.] Hope the finder enjoys the book!
