Book description
Imagine you could travel back to the fourteenth century. What would you see, and hear, and smell? Where would you stay? What are you going to eat? And how are you going to test to see if you are going down with the plague?

In The Time Traveller's Guide Ian Mortimer's radical new approach turns our entire understanding of history upside down. History is not just something to be studied; it is also something to be lived, whether that's the life of a peasant or a lord. is perhaps the most astonishing history book you are ever likely to read; as revolutionary as it is informative, as entertaining.

This book will be going off to my exchange partner in the Guy Fawkes Exchange

When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

Thank you Poodlesister for the most generous Samhain/Halloween package! Inside I found: books, a selection of sweets & tea (these are already in use!), stickers, napkins, bookcrossing labels & the cutest woolen pumpkin ever! (did I miss something?). Now, where’s my black... dog & my Vanishing on the 7th Street movie to make this evening perfect?

An unusual approach to history of England but a thoroughly fine one. Thanks for sharing, now it's time for someone else to enjoy it!
