I got this fair-condition softcover at a local thrift shop. It's an interesting little tale about a magical shop that can only be found by solving a riddle - or, for our heroine Miu, stumbling into it accidentally. Seems she's destined to be the go-between for a shop that rents time itself, using people's best memories as collateral... The anthology-format includes several tales of people who want to borrow time, in small quantities or large, for various reasons - and also has different ways in which they can do this, from stopping time for everyone else to splitting into two. There's a "be careful what you wish for" vibe, as well as the "Cinderalla at midnight" element in which those who fail to return at the appropriate time will lose more than they bargained for.

The shop owner is a handsome young man who seems to be cold-hearted regarding the business - but does tell Miu that in her new role she has the power to guide and influence people to use their borrowed time for the best purposes.

Overall it's rather mild compared to other series I've read, but I like the premise.

I left this book in Dandy's memorial Little Free Library (which has the most unique container I've seen in an LFL so far!); hope the finder enjoys it! (There were lots of wild turkeys nearby, enjoying the rain perhaps.)
