I found this good-condition softcover in the Little Free Library on Kearsarge Way in Portsmouth NH, while dropping off some books of my own. Looks like an interesting collection of poetry from the author of The Basketball Diaries.

Later: Poems, yes, and a few short prose works, including "Homage to Gerard Manley Hopkins". The poetry touches on many topics, personal, social, and political.

I think my favorite of the poems was "M. Verdoux, the Wife Killer", in part because it reminded me of the 1947 film about real-life murderer Verdoux - who, in the movie, was played by Charlie Chaplin!

I plan to leave this book somewhere in or near the education center at Old Sturbridge Village when I attend the "Sleepy Hollow Experience" tonight. Hope the finder enjoys the book!
