I was working as a subeditor on Sunday night at the Geelong Advertiser when a colleague returned to the office with some books he'd found at the office front door. I'd read about BookCrossing and was intrigued to become part of the phenomenon. I figured a book titled "Deadline" would be an apt selection given that's what I was meeting when it came into my hands. Besides, I've got two other novels on the go and this appears a fairly short work. I've read a few pages and it's appealing. I'm meeting up with some other Australian bloggers over Easter so I'll pass this on to one of them and see where that leads.
