I bought the book to complete the trilogy before sending it on to Nepal :-)

And of course once it's in my hands I can't resist taking it up again to read... Still love it :-)
As I also just recently watched the movie Mockingjay part II I obviously am on the comparing modus :-D

The storytelling is brillant and in the book the mistrust of Katniss towards every authority person is very traceable, how she feels a piece in the game of everyone and how at least to her the structure and organisation of district 13 is not so much different from the tyranny of the capitol. Last year I had the chance to follow a seminar on the books and movies and loved so much to discuss the whole series with some other people, but I still could go on forever...

One point keeps nagging at me though (attention, some spoilers ahead!): When Katniss decides for the last Hunger Games with capitol children and Haymitch follows her decision, I don't understand her motivation. Usualy she has the impulse for revenge like Gale but overcomes it and decides against it and she so often criticises the Hunger Games over all. Does she want for everyone to see how Coin is just the same as Snow (by the way: shouldn't the names be opposite if they're telling names?)? I don't realy get it and this time I paid special attention because the movie gave an interpretation of it, but it doesn't seem coherent with the books. In the movie it seems as if Katniss "buys" the permission to kill snow (and already plans her final move) with her agreeing to the Hunger Games and Haymitch sees right through her plan or at least trusts her instincts on whatever she is planing (which is not very coherent either as he rarely complimented her on good instincts...). But in the books it is very clear that it's settled long before the meeting that she is going to execute Snow. So no good explanation to me...
