An enjoyable read, but a few comments.
We keep getting told that Miranda is short, but she is "5'4"'; that is taller than the average female here in Australia, so I couldn't see her as 'short'. However, the idea that the heroine is 'petite'; on the short side, is getting rather monotonous, because I have read a number of books lately where the heroines are short. For books yet to be written; be original and make the heroine average height, or be 'really' daring and make her taller than average. Too much petiteness!
Likewise, several books I have read lately have had red haired main characters; making the odds of this larger than what red hair appears in nature.
A page turner though, and if there is another book that follows this, I would like to read it.
