HELL HATH NO FURY...LIKE A BROTHER SCORNED.
Shot at point-blank in a rat-hole apartment, wasted by hunger and heroin, Stephen Gaines is just another story for journalist Henry Parker. But this man had come to Henry looking for help and Henry had turned him away, believing that they had nothing in common.

Except they share a father...

Now Henry is forced to question everything he ever knew as he races to uncover the whole, hard truth of why of why Stephen was murdered in cold blood and track down the mysterious drug lord known only as the Fury.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Spotted the Michael Connelly cover quote ‘The Fury rocks. Read it!’ Thought I’d give this a go before passing it on… as I was not aware of having heard of this author and wondered about passing this onto a chum in Twickenham who is fond of thrillers.

Hum… pager turner with decent pace, reasonable plot though with an uneven style, and not enough character depth. The searing disconnect between Harry and his father provided an expectation of tension which fell flat partly I think as the character of his father didn’t ring true for me. That triggered a hollow tone. I did enjoy the affection toward and acknowledged confidence of support from Amanda, Harry’s girlfriend but it also felt a trifle too constructed. Planning releasing at a coming BookCrossers meet-up this Thursday evening at Joseph Pearce’s, I’ll leave it on the bookshelf if it’s not picked up.
