I already finished the book. I have never read anything by this author so I did not quite know what to expect. Well, I am still confused - the story was an interesting mixture of fantasy and reality. The main character's obsession made her very lonely, the book left me wondering...

Probably the saddest book I've read all year, but oh so beautiful from a book lover's viewpoint! It's sad how Alexandra couldn't bring her beloved memories alive in her home, on her own bookshelf and instead needed the bookmobile to feel alive. Books do offer you company, but it felt a bit weird she couldn't enjoy people more, to seek out memories from her every day life instead of living in her literary past. Oh well, hauntingly beautiful book, let's put it that way.

This was much more than I expected - not only a book about books or reading but about deep loneliness. Surreal, beautiful and touching, the plot twist really surprised me. The idea of a bookmobile was fascinating!

I've read the two Niffenegger novels and enjoyed them a lot, so no wonder I liked this too, although I wasn't totally convinced by the main character or the plot twist at the end. Nevertheless, I think I'm going to be haunted by this for a while...
I took the book home from the yesterday’s meet up and finished it already last night. I think i will be haunted by the story as well. Especially beacuse I already had the feeling that I have read a bit too much lately, more than is healthy (thanks to Helmet reading challenge and more free time during winter months).
