2 journalers for this copy...
I'm assuming this is another freebie I got from my days working in a publishers because I don't remember buying it. That's not to say it doesn't look good, I think it will be fun, at least I hope so because I'm taking it away on holiday with me and don't want to have to buy another.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
One of the books I'll be taking to Birmingham with me next weekend.
Was recommended to me - twice. For being a bit like Lord Peter Whimsey.
So far, I am on page 9, and the story is probably about Lord Peter stumbling drunkenly into a newer version of "The Importance of Being Earnest".
(Picture taken at the Secret Garden on the 7th floor of Birmingham Library).
Addition in Nov 2016: This was a nice read!
I never heard about the author before, even though she is translated into german and published from a good publisher of crime stories.
Two things fascinated me: First, there were one or two whole sentences I didn't quite understand due to language from the 1930s. Second, the gender stereotypes (and I read quite a few "old" books). This book could probably do with a warning sticker: "Not suitable for feminists" ;-)
