Under the Tuscan Sun

Looking forward to reading this book as I've always wanted to travel to the Tuscan area in Italy.
From the back cover:"Frances Mayes - - widely published poet, gourmet cook, and travel writer - - opens the door to a wondrous new world when she buys and restores an abandoned villa in the spectacular Tuscan countryside. In sensuous and evocative language, she brings the reader along as she discovers the beauty and simplicity of life in Italy."

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and felt like I was spending time myself 'under the Tuscan sun' in Italy. I joined the author, Frances Mayes in the purchase and renovation of her Italian home Bramare and the surrounding land and olive groves. Of particular interest was the inclusion of local foods eaten in the summer and winter months and the recipes she provided.
