Sarah Blake's writing is engaging and easy on the ear. Or should that be eye? The book is well researched and, where she has deviated from the facts, this is explained in the end notes. The characters and situations are complex and beautifully drawn.
Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys character drama or historical fiction.
Offered as BookRay.
