Amber Alton knows that the hours pass differently at Black Rabbit Hall, her London family's country estate, where no two clocks read the same. Summers there are perfect, timeless. Not much ever happens. Until, of course, it does.
More than three decades later, Lorna is determined to be married within the grand, ivy-covered walls of Pencraw Hall, known as Black Rabbit Hall among the locals. But as she's drawn deeper into the overgrown grounds, half-buried memories of her mother begin to surface and Lorna soon finds herself ensnared within the manor's labyrinthine history, overcome with an insatiable need for answers about her own past and that of the once-happy family whose memory still haunts the estate.

Not a bad read though I was hoping for something that I could really get my teeth into & while this was a reasonable read, it didn't enthral me as I'd hoped.
The characters were all okay but the story didn't pull me into the extent that I particularly cared about them or their fate. While I was entertained enough to want to find out just what had happened that long ago, summer day, I pretty much worked it all out & there were no surprises...& for me the final chapter (not the epilogue!) was just toohappy cheesy .....

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I liked the children's stories better than the present day one. I found that one a bit boring... The ending tied a little to tidily, but it was still an enjoyable read.
It will continue its travels as part of the Read it, Swap it, Leave it book ring.

An ok read, I'd worked out most of it very early on in the book so there were no surprise revelations, it was worth reading for the atmosphere.
Going back into the Read It, Swap It, Leave It bookring.
I've chosen this, to read, from the Read It, Swap It, Leave It bookring.
I quite enjoyed this, more so as I got further into it but there weren't any surprises. I thought it was pretty obvious where the story was going. Worth reading though.
