A very confusing read. I do love my Tampere, but city planning is not my thing on this level... Way too much text compared to the very simple, almost empty backgrounds. Possibly a very interesting piece of 21st century discussions on Tampere for someone not looking for visual entertainment though!

I know Tampere somewhat (better than Helsinki at least!), so I was intrigued about the book.

I found the first chapter the most interesting, maybe because I'm more interested in geology and geography than city planning or urban studies. It was intriguing to learn about the eskers! Towards the end I sort of lost interest. The map was great, though!
Furthermore, it was peculiar how the book hinted that _everybody_ has a favourite bar... What does that say about the (alcohol) culture of these people? Not everybody drinks or likes to hang in bars. I hate those places!
It was also funny that one of the people (on the cover, especially) strongly resembles an acquaintance of mine. For a moment I even thought she was in the book!
I know already what to do with the booklet.

Thank you for the rabck and the lovely cat card, -solaria-! I have actually already read this graphic novel. For me it is an interesting view of my current home town, although I'm not an architech or city planner or anything of the sort. There is too much text in the book to read it in one go, but I like the photos & drawings technique and design of it.
I'll see if other Tampere dwellers are interested in this.

Left this bok in the Dokk1 Library's bookcrossing shelf. The center is a great place for the whole family. Had great difficulties to remove my daughter from the indoor playground.
