This was easy and quick to read. Somehow I found this cozy mystery too predictable. Charlie Harris, the maine chacacter is interesting and Diesel, the maine coon cat is charming of course. But still something is missing.

Very nice! New series for me, and I'd like to read more of these! Diesel the cat appears to be quite a charmer, and I am sure he'll get a bigger role in next books.

Diesel arrived safe and sound. A new series for me as well, looks interesting. We just had two Maine coons as patients last week. Nice cats.
Finally began reading this - a man keeping a boarding house for students, now that is a new concept. Boo to Lesley Worrell who draw the cover - she has obviously never seen a Maine Coon, but should have googled them, the cat in the cover is a moggy.
I think I know who the culprit is. The thing that was found out from the archives was also no surprise. But what I actually came here to say that I'm surprised that Justin, 18 yrs, still addressed his landlord "Mr Charley" and "Sir" and an elderly housekeeper with grown-up kids "Miss Azalea" and was wondering what to call his biological father he was about to meet for the first time - and was told "Mr Priest would be fine" - in a book published in 2010! I guess they did that more in the south, but didn't realize that it was still like that so recently, perhaps still is?

I wonder who has written this book. The cover says Miranda James, but it is Dean James who has the copyright.
I think I will put this aside for eponine38, who is into cat mysteries and is coming to Finland in six months time. Perhaps Annelis wants to read this in the meanwhile?

Thank you for the book and being Joulutonttu. Kirjakko! Again a cosy detective story and a writer which are quite new for me.
I try to remember to read this book soon enough.
It seems to me that there are a lot cosy detective books with cats. Are this kind of books too cosy for dogs to play a part in the story?

I liked this story. There was not too much cat-talk and the plot was good enough.

The book is back. You could have kept it longer, Annelis, now it might get lost in my piles before April. And yes, there are cosy dog mysteries as well, you will get one - next year!
Oh dear, eponine38 can't make it to the Tampere convention, so the book is "free" to travel to somebody else.
