This was such a fun book to read - even when sad/bad things were going on, it all had a very positive, happy tone to it. It was a great long-weekend read; nice and relaxing without requiring much focus on my part, and easy to put down and pick up again later.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it! This one has been on my wish list for a while and it has finally wandered my way. A big shout of thanks for Sherria who was good enough to peruse cliff's site and discover that I wanted it. Can't wait to read it!!!
Well, I finally got around to reading this one, and I must say that I rather enjoyed it. This was the first book that I have ever read by Fanny Flagg. Her writing style took a little getting used to, but I managed and found myself kind of liking all the skipping around and that silly Weems Weekly. It was a light read and flew by. Well worth the time spent.
