Who Do You Love: A Novel

From the back of the book: "Rachel Blum and Andy Landis are eight years old when they meet late one night in an ER waiting room. Born with a congenital heart defect, Rachel is a veteran of hospitals, and she's intrigued by the boy who shows up alone with a broken arm. He tells her his name. She tells him a story.
Rachel grows up in an affluent Florida suburb; Andy grows up in inner-city Philadelphia with a single mom and a rare talent for running. Over the next three decades, Andy and Rachel will meet again and again--linked by chance, history, and the memory of the first time they met, a night that chanced the course of both their lives."
A good read.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Passing on to Aberpeter in WA when I see her this weekend.
Sometimes this big world is really a small place. Rachel and Andy meet one night in the emergency room when they are 8 years old. By chance, they meet again at a camp for high-schoolers where they are there to help build houses for the less fortunate. From there, the on-again off-again relationship continues for decades.
I very much enjoyed this book. Told from the perspective of both Rachel and Andy, the reader has insight into both of their thoughts and motivations. You feel the attraction they have for each other, yet you also understand what drives them apart. In the end, love does conquer all.
