This was an amazing story of this young girls courage and determination to stand up not only for herself but for all young people but especially girls, in a culture where education is not seen as important. It is not only her courage but that of her family as well, especially her father who was a strong advocate for education of young people. They attracted the attention of the Taliban and she was shot and she may not have survived if it was not for the determination of some medical professionals who got her out of Pakistan to the UK.
What an amazing family to leave their family and country behind because of their beliefs.
