Pleasant memoir from the youngest member of the Mottershead family who founded Chester Zoo back in the '30s. Covering their initial struggles, animals, the War and lack of funds, good characters (especially the animals). Some nice photos. Well worth a read. A TV series was made from the basis of this memoir.
