I'm not much of a horror story fan...usually. I got a real kick out of this one, though! The man can write! I'm perverse, I loved funny little touches like:
"Well, then," Bernice said, "I guess we know what needs to be done, don't we?" Carl nodded.
Bernice went back upstairs and changed into her old clothes. The she put on her gardening gloves and gathered the cats for strangulation.

While I'm getting the oil in the Camry changed, I think I'll just set this book down in the waiting area and see if anybody jumps on it while I'm there.

I'm going to leave "Visit My Friendly City," an artist's trading card in the book. It just seems so right.
