Leaves of Grass: The Collected Poems of Walt Whitman
1 journaler for this copy...
Many of the poems in this collection were considered profane and obscene by many in the decades after their initial publication. The book was effectively banned in Boston when Whitman refused to self-censor by removing poems deemed objectionable. Because the contents of this book have a history of being challenged, I am setting it aside to release during Banned Books Week.
Released 7 yrs ago (9/30/2016 UTC) at US Patent & Trademark Office - Madison Building in Alexandria, Virginia USA
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Left on one of the tables on the concourse level of the Madison Atrium, behind the auditorium.
