I had my mother in mind when I wished for this book, but she could no longer read such weighty tomes by the time I received it. It sat on my shelf, a poignant reminder of the woman she once was. It's over a year since she passed and this Mother's Day I finally decided to read it in her honour.

I liked it a lot. I enjoyed following the author through his research, step by step, and into dangerous and exciting places to try and prove his theories. He certainly makes some assumptions and jumps to conclusions, in spite of his attempts at scientific and historical discovery. And yet he is persuasive. Definitely worth reading!

My sister, River-red, requested this. I'm planning to bring it when I visit her later this month.

Caught today from my dear sister., Brookler.This book was on her wish list for my mother ( now deceased). My sister read it in her honour and released it. I reserved it when I heard about it. It will go on my “to be read” list .

I finally finished this book. I found it to be quite dry mixed in with some excitement in between chapters. The authors notions were preconceived and his finally conclusion reflected that.
