Journal Entry 1 by Plum-crazy from Brighouse, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Saturday, August 6, 2016
A girl is missing. Five years old, taken from outside her school. She has vanished, traceless.
The police are at a loss; her parents are beyond grief. Their daughter is lost forever, perhaps dead, perhaps enslaved.
But the biggest mystery is yet to come: one week after she was abducted, their daughter is returned.
She has no memory of where she has been. And this, for her mother, is just the beginning of the nightmare.

A great read.... I don't want to say too much as I'm wary of spoiling it for future readers, so if you want to know more, a longer review is here at goodreads

Hmm! I wish I hadn't known that Anna came back: I found myself skimming to get to that part!
I worked out quite early the identity of the abductor, and was a bit disappointed that it was so easy to work out.
Julia and Edna struck me as not very real, somehow. I couldn't believe in a lot of their behaviour, for example, Julia, a clever solicitor, jumps onto the fact that the missing school janitor MUST be the one who kidnapped Anna, and Edna is just plain bonkers (in a dangerous way of course).
Not my style, but I did read it to the end!
Thanks Plum x
