as wishlisttag for mecu... greetings from Belgium

on it's way to FINLAND ;-)

The label came yesterday and the wishlist book arrived today, thanks a bunch rodespringbal! I just need to get my hands on the first volume of Thursday Next series before reading this one. :) I want to read both before the Finncon in July - Jasper Fforde is coming there.

My TBR pile is mile high, so before I get to read this book myself, I'm borrowing it to a fellow bookcrosser. I'm guessing that her good reviews will get me finally reading the next volumes of Thursday's literary adventures. :)

Thank you for the book, Mecu! I read the first Thursday Next book a long time ago and never got around reading more, but I'll try now!

There was much going on with Thursday Next in the book: An eradicated husband, the Jurisfiction, and the impending end of the world, just to name some of them. No wonder that everything doesn't get resolved and the reader just has to read the next sequel, too! I'll be happy to, though. Jasper Fforde has created a truly original world and has a way with words that I'm sure literature enthusiastics will enjoy. I know I did!

I'll return the book to Mecu.

The book is with me again. I really should re-read the first volume and then this and the next one in the series... But first, I think, I'll read Fforde's latest standalone novel, "Early riser".

Eventually it took a buddy read with a BG friend to get this series going, and I'm so happy now. :D

I loved the first Thursday Next novel but this second one I loved even more, I adored it! Every bookworm should read this! The BookWOrld Fforde has created is every booklover's dream. Another bookish library where I'd happily lose myself, talking with the librarian Cheshire Cat, wondering if Thursday's uncle is happily retired where he choose to go and when I'll see more of Granny Next.

And I'm extremely glad I've got the third volume already, because this book ends with a serious cliff-hanger. Get your books ready!
