Have want to read this one for years, so had to buy it when I found it at my local car boot sale.

I didn't think I had read this one before, but I suspect now that, I have read this, I may have. It's an amusing journey with one woman whose life gets totally destroyed in one day (she gives birth & her husband leave her). We follow her journey of recovery and rediscovery. Where's the humour in that you may ask? Marian Keyes manages to find it. Her style of writing really agrees with me, because it goes along the same lines that my random thought processes follow. I believe this is Ms Keyes first book, I feel it was slightly predictable (could just be that I did read it before) and not quite as polished as later works. However it was very entertaining. It's also the first book she wrote about the Walsh Sisters. I look forward to enjoying the rest.

Thank you for the nice surprise! I read Sushi for Beginners earlier this year and since then I've been interested in this one too. =)

Sushi for Beginners was more to my taste, but I enjoyed this one too. The story moved a little too slowly forward at times, but I did enjoy the drama. Luckily I have the next two books in my shelf already and I'm planning to read Rachel's Holiday soon.
