The Sayers Swindle (A Book Collector Mystery)

Not a favorite series as the characters tend to be a little . . . odd. However, they are entertaining, and Jordan Bingham's efforts to balance her very demanding employer and her loving but not particularly honest relatives are fun to read about.
Bringing to the BCinDC Holiday party for the First Line game.
Journal Entry 3 by 6of8 at -- Mail or by hand-rings, RABCK, meetings, etc, Virginia USA on Sunday, February 12, 2017
I was unable to attend the holiday party this year, but my friends selected books for me based on the first line. In this case, the first line was "I was falling for an older man."
I don't know that I would have picked the book for myself based on the first line, but it turns out to be a murder mystery from Furball. It looks good.

Probably only a 6 star book, but it gets a 7th star for being able to distract me almost completely during a ver difficult and emotional situation. I liked the characters and found their quirks mostly charming vs annoying. The mystery itself was okay, but it was well written enough that I am only realizing that now.
This book was left on the face sculpture outside the arena.
