Pretty decent cozy mystery. We once again have the owner of a specialized small business in an equally small town. However, fixing antique clocks is a rare-enough profession that the Cog & Sprocket gets business from a widespread area, which makes it more believable. Characters were pretty well-developed, and didn't irritate me. That's rarer than you might think. As for the plot, there are enough red herrings around that I missed the culprit, although with the clarity of hindsight, it was obvious.

I was unable to attend the holiday party this year, but my friends selected books for me based on the first line. In this case, the first line was " The brochure lied."

Turns out to be another mystery from Furball. We have similar tastes so I will look forward to reading it.

A really good mystery with some really interesting and relatable characters. I can see why this won an award. The small town was well described and believable and the plot was neither too technical nor too fluffy. I will be looking for more in this series even though it will probably remind me of this difficult time.
