The Terracotta Dog

A book that I recently acquired for the purposes of giving it away at an upcoming book festival with my friends in BCinDC.
An excellent installment in the series, with a look at the relationships between Montalbano and his officers, as well as a great exposition into the ways the mafia functions, all of which was mere background to the fifty-year-old mystery involving the terra-cotta dog. As always, there was a great deal of Montalbano's culinary experience on display, as well as his moodiness. The mystery of the dog and its companions was well done and cleverly interwoven with the other developments which were not so much mysterious as sad.

This was leftover at the end of the very rainy 2016 Gaithersburg Book Festival. I hope to continue its journey soon.
Going to a book party!
