Blurb:

ʻI was bowled over...I finished the book wishing it had been twice as longʼJEREMY PAXMAN, OBSERVER, BOOKS OF 1998
ʻBarnaby Gaitlin has less in life than he once had. His ex-wife Natalie left him and their native Baltimore several years ago...taking their baby daughter Opal with her...He acquired an unbearably fixed position as the black sheep of the family. And this family isnʼt one where black sheep are amusedly tolerated. The Gaitlins are rich and worthy, supposedly guided by their own special angel to do the right thing...A patchwork Planet is thoroughly enjoyable...from this most responsive novelistʼSUNDAY TIMES
ʻI can think of no other writer whose novels I look forward to with such gleeful anticipation. A Patchwork Planet is her fourteenth book, but were it her fortieth, it would not be enough for me...a delight from beginning to endʼOBSERVER
ʻAnne Tyler...is inventive, funny and wise. Her fiction is magically alive to the quirks and coincidences of fate...[A Patchwork Planet] is charming, readable, and more full of touching and humane observations than many other novels you will read this yearʼGUARDIAN

Journal Entry 2 by Tarna at Rollikkahalli in Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Sunday, May 29, 2016

Released 7 yrs ago (5/29/2016 UTC) at Rollikkahalli in Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Rollikkahallin ovien viereen oli huomaavaisesti kirjanvapauttajaa varten istutettu parikin penkkiä. Kiitos siitä! Osallistun tällä vapautuksella mm. pippiksen Turistivapautuksiin ja jumpinginin Ultimate Challengeen. Kuvan ja selitykset lisään joskus toiste.
Lisäys 2.6.16. Muistan ne elävästi vieläkin: rollikat, sarvijaakot, johdinautot... Rakkaalla lapsella on monta nimeä. Historiaa tulvillaan. Mikrohistoriaa.
