Oh, what a treat, an advance copy of a Charles Cumming novel! But yet a little bittersweet in essence for me though as having heard Cumming speak at Edinburgh Spy Week in 2014, and been dazzled and intrigued, I have not yet started in on his writing. The friend that passed this on, yup that’s you weegie, hinted that though it can be read in isolation greater appreciation may be afforded by having read the books mentioned on the cover that precede this, A Foreign Country and A Colder War. I’ll think about how I want to proceed, though I am inclining toward jumping in…
I have been holding onto this for a spy novel enthusiast! And now I’ve let that birthday of the year pass so this is overdue plus I have an urgent need to move books out of my castle in the city’s library, this is getting gifted elsewhere…

UPDATE - WED 29 AUG 2018: organisational hic-cups meant alteration to my posting schedule. In the end the total number of late BIRTHDAY BOOKCROSSING parcels totalled five, each under 2 kg’s in weight. These all entered the Postal system last thing today and will be picked up and processed on Thursday 30 August.

Arrived in Somerset as part of Mr Flutterbies9's bumper birthday set of packages. This is a new author for him but with tbr having just been added to in spectacular fashion, I'm not sure how long he will take to get around to it!
