I hesitated a lot to buy a book from a publishing house called Choc LIt. It looks like it deals only with romantic novels, and I usually hate that crap.

But this novel, even being a modern romantic novel, it has a touch of sci-fic, which is a genre I usually like.

We are in London, United Kingdom. Madison Albi is a scientist who is studying mental powers and communication. In this world, which is basically our modern world except for the slight popular knowledge that there are "spooks", that is, humans who can use telepathy, Madison is a heart-broken woman. During a fundrising function, she goes out to find a homeless man to who she feels a loosely weird and loosely psychic connection. They are frightened of each other at the beginning, She gives him shelter, clothes, food, hot water, and her ex-fiancé's clothes.

They try to communicate, and find out that the other have out-of-the-ordinary mental powers. However, there is a biggest mystery: there is a wall on the man´s mind which makes him completely amnesiac. In the three months he knows he has been living on the streets he wasn´t even able to remember his own name.

Madison thinks that she will be able to help him. Somehow, calling him Jay looks right, There is a relationship that they are trying to fight off, which in this case is quite sexual.

Of course, they will realise that somebody must have put that wall on Jay´s mind.
