A good read.
Hummm, Helen Fitzgerald, this name is ringing faint bells, Scottish author; someone recommended her… radio praise or perhaps all of those?

Arresting reading which races, skitters, soars and crashes in the most helter-skelter of a way, echoing Cats emotional life. Fitzgerald brings a challenging character’s experiences to the page deftly and compassionately in an edgy and engaging tale. Though the style was sinuously evasive along the journey and very early on I was almost ducking waiting for a razor sheered slice of blackness to overwhelm me. I just kept following the storyline which had the unlikely skip and hop of a lamb toward a mint-sauce platter. A destination both expected and unexpected was achieved.
Riveting and refreshing writing I’ll be reading more by this author. I have a release idea for this, meanwhile, I’ll pop it under my Available listing in which case it can be found by another bookcrosser specifically wanting it – just drop me a private message via BC.
