Moll Cutpurse, Her True History

I really liked the story. I am convinced that it didn´t happen like that, but it was entertaining, and I wish it had happened like that. The character of Bridget is the point of view of the story, which leaves to the reader´s imagination what Moll actually did when she was about and about around London.
Bridget should have been born male, but she wasn´t. Her father, the town´s apothecary, had to content himself with his daughter and he sort of educates her to continue with the family business. He realises that Bridget is not like other girls, though. She is not interested in getting married with a wealthy boy or learning to be the angel of her household.
One day, a weird monster arrives knocking /banging on their door: it's somebody dressed half as a man and half as a woman, asking for a potion to become wholly a man. This is Mary Firth, a.k.a. Moll Cutpurse, a riotous woman who was kicked out of an actors´travelling company for being a woman.

Nice story about a woman living in the seventeenth century who is originally convinced that being a man is the way to live in the world.
