To show that not all authors feel that sharing their books on Bookcrossing is a "loss of money", I offer up my own January release of Sisters in Time for a book ring. It's a paranormal time-travel with a historical twist and although I elected to list it as "Women's Fiction" it's really something anyone can read and appreciate.

In Sisters...providence switches the lives of a pioneer woman and a modern-day female attorney. Each young woman awakens in an era far removed from her own, trying desperately to convince the other woman's husband that she is not the wife he believes her to be. Will fate intervene or are they destine to remain lost in time forever?

I will keep the Ring Forum updated with ongoing names, completion expectations, and try to keep your mailing preferences in mind. I look forward to tracking Sisters... progress and reading your comments. I hope you enjoy my book.

Here is a brief teaser:
"2002!" Frank looked at the doctor as if seeking validation, then scratched his own head. "I don't quite know what to say. You are kidding, right? You really know it's May 28, 1872."
"Right, and I'm your visitor from another dimension," Taylor answered sacrcastically.
Exasperation tinged Frank's voice. "Mariah--and yes you are Mariah until you prove me wrong--I have no explanation for your strange behavior, and I certainly can't understand why you believe you are in the year 2002. I can't even imagine that far into the future, but I certainly believe there would be some newfangled things invented by then. Don't you? Can't imagine how they could make things better than we have it here, but..."
Taylor pondered his point. She looked around the room. The patchwork quilt, the pitcher and wash bowl, his story about the horses and wagon, and the clothes hanging in the armoire--they certainly were relics from another time.
She snapped her fingers. "I've got it! You operate a dude ranch where you try to replicate the Old West, right?"
Frank looked again at Doc Samuels. "Doc, help me out here. Tell her."
The doctor added his assusances that she was wrong, but Taylor was still a nonbeliever. "If I'm wrong, prove it to me."
Frank scratched the back of his neck, the snapped his fingers. "You think someone dyed your hair red, don't you?"
She tugged on a lock of hair. "Yes, and I hate red hair. It was a nasy thing to do to an injured person."
"what color eyes does Taylor have?"
"What a stupid question. Here I am. Have a look for yourself."
"Okay, I will." He stood toe-to-toe with her. "Green. I see the same beautiful green eyes you've always had."
"Green? Okay, besides being absolutely clueless, you are also colorblind. My eyes have always been brown."
She stepped over to the mirror and leaned in closer. The bruises around her eyes had diminished and the swelling had cleared. "See, I told you. Oh my God! My eyes...my eyes are green!"
Totally shocked and having no explanation, she slumped down on the bed.

I finished this last night, and I really enjoyed it! It was a quick, easy read, and I got caught up in the story, and wondering whether the two women would go back to their own times. I did notice quite a few typos in the book, which I would assume are the fault of someone at the publishiing house though, and not Ginger's. It was easy to imagine the wonder and furstration of the women, especialy Mariah coming into the future. I think it would be easier to adapt to the past than the future, and it did seem as if Taylor adapted quicker than Mariah did. Though that could have just been Taylor's personality also.

Anyway, thanks so much for sharing this Ginger. It's off today to WistfulDragon. I also copied the rest of the list from the forum, as it took me a few minutes to find the forum posting to look at the list myself:

What a lovely book! The premise could have been used to write a much longer novel, but I think it suits this format well. You have time to get really involved with the characters, to wonder if they'll change back - or even want to! - without getting too bogged down in the minutiae of differences in the two times.
It is a little steamy in a couple of places, which I'm not used to in my reading matter (you don't get much sex in the average sword and sorcery!), but most readers probably wouldn't have noticed that.
Thanks Ginger for giving me the opportunity to read this book. It will continue on its travels tomorrow.

I am a big fan of time travel books, especially those of Jack Finney and Diana Gabaldon (haven't read Time Traveler's Wife yet, so am in no position to comment of Audrey Niffenegger yet) and was eager to read this one, despite the fact that it arrived within moments of one other ring and the day after another.

Providence, in the form of bronchitis, stepped in theis weekend to allow me the solitude and free time to read. Unfortunately, the accompanying fever may has distorted the plot a bit, as I have the distinct feeling I dreamed some sequences that weren't in the book...Like I dreamed Mariah and David went back to find the town where Miriah said she was from, and that they found the old family bible in an antique store- that holding it in her hands allowed her to see that Taylor was in Miriah's body at home with Frank, also trying to puzzle things out. Or the actual effort it took Taylor to complete the daily chores in an age without modern conveniences. I have flipped through the book again, and can find nowhere wherre she says "Washboards and wringers can go to hell". The other passages are also nowhere, so I think they came from my fevered imagination.

Sent this on last week to dragonfly4 in Canada, but in my fevered stupor forgot to journal it. Sorry Ging! Sooooo....if I could travel back in time I'd make a note the day it was sent, but will have to settle for a late entry!

I got through this one very quickly. Like some other readers have said, it feels like it could have been longer. The characters were very well developed and enjoyable to get to know. I would have liked to know more about their story.

I mailed it off onJune 4 to LAbklvr.

Received a few days ago and I'm half way through it. Seems enjoyable so far, although I'm surprised that Taylor "adapted" so quickly ;-).

A fun, quick read. I enjoy time travel books and I thought this would be right up my alley. It was interesting to see what the reactions were of the two women and their husbands. I thought the end was a little too happily ever after, (I certainly would have had more questions for my spouce!)but it was an entertaining read, which I think was the author's purpose. Thanks for sharing. Sending it on in the next day or two.
