I got this fair-condition softcover from a local Goodwill thrift shop. It's an account of the author's experiences in a women's prison, and inspired the hit TV series. I did find it hard to empathize with someone who'd try and transport drugs internationally, but I admit that once that decision had come and gone, the long, slow grinding of the legal process was pretty unnerving. Most of the book deals with her time behind bars, also unnerving - I was glad to see a list of resources at the end of the book for people who have to cope with the legal system, whether on their own behalf or for loved ones.
