I found this softcover at a local Goodwill thrift shop, and as it's a CLAMP work I hadn't read before, I had to give it a try.
And... I found it a bit of a letdown. Oh, the artwork's gorgeous, in typical CLAMP style, but really, nothing much happens; the omake at the end actually states that the whole thing was more or less an excuse for Mokona to keep drawing sexily-clad girls {wry grin}. The episodic form has young Miyuki bouncing from one dreamworld to another, being pounced on by sexy women in each one, and then waking (or blinking back to her own reality, as you choose to believe) before another adventure. But for me, the lack of anything approaching a plot or characterization left me rather cold. My favorite arc was the "Video Game Land" one, as it included lots of funny background bits about gaming, from "Wait! Whose stuff is this? Are we stealing?!" to comments on the scanty nature of a fighter character's "armor". I also found the "X" chapter amusing, as it dropped Miyuki into the world of X/1999. But, overall, this was kind of a "meh" book for me.
[There's a TV Tropes page on the book, which I gather is even more titillating than most CLAMP works - and that's saying something!]

I'm putting this book in the manga/graphic novel bookbox, which will be on its way to its next stop soon. Enjoy!
Taken from the manga box. I find I either love CLAMP's books, or find them utterly forgettable. This sounds like it might fall into the latter category, but I'm going to give it a try.
This is pretty much a classic example of porn-without-plot. There are a lot of creative and interesting outfits that don't cover much skin, presented on blandly pretty ladies, posed on elaborate backgrounds. The thin skim of plot seems to be that the main character's day-dreams become her reality, but given how unhappy she seems about the resulting hoards of women hurling themselves at her, it seems a bit far-fetched.
Overall, I was unimpressed by this as a storybook, although I've read worse porn! ;-)

Sent out as part of a Halloween parcel. Perhaps it isn't the most Halloween-y book, but the array of costumes might inspire! I also know the recipient doesn't mind more risqué comics, and this isn't something I'd generally wild-release.
What a wonderful parcel! Thank you for the book and all the goodies you've included!
