I found this fair-condition hardcover among the charity-sale books at a local Hannaford's, and nabbed it for an upcoming release challenge.
This turned out to be a very enjoyable country-house mystery, with appealing characters, long-lost secrets, misunderstandings ranging from menacing to comic, and a nicely convoluted plot. Oh, sure, some of the incidents seemed overly contrived, but in general I enjoyed spending time in this setting.
