Becky (BC screen name N-R-Jyzer), was killed on 30 August 2010 when she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle. She would have celebrated her 15th birthday next Valentine's Day. During each of the last five years, we have remembered her and celebrated her short life by releasing books in her memory. It has been extremely gratifying to see books being released around the world in her honor.
She loved animals in general and particularly cats and horses. She enjoyed skiing, soccer, horseback riding and bicycling. She was a fan of Winnie-the-Pooh, Harry Potter, Disney Fairies, and the Magic Treehouse books. She had also just discovered the Beverly Cleary and Nancy Drew books during the last few months of her life. And because she was born on Valentine's day, books that are somehow related to the ideas of love, hearts, hugs, valentine's or her favorite colors (pink and red) would all also be appropriate.
