This is a fascinating chronicle of some reality-based events in England in 1666, when the plague visited a small village. Great detailing, interesting story, lovely writing and lots of archaic medieval words (I listed down 30 or so to look up in a decent dictionary!)
A rating … hmmmm! Until towards the end I was going to give a rating of 9/10 … and then, the whole story collapsed into a nonsense! I was so disappointed with the ending, which doesn’t seem to relate to the rest of the story at all. Hence 5/10 overall.
