This is a "two books in one" book. The first, "The Captain and His Innocent" is a Regency Napoleonic War spy novel - not too bad, and nice geology touches. The second, "Scoundrel of Dunborough", is set in the time of King John, and is terribly unbelievable and slushy. (And my standards are pretty low, I have to admit).
