Amazing book. The life of the mind can be a wonderous thing, but also a source of despair if the individual is driven solely to live constrained in her own thoughts. Meet Renee Michel, the concergie and Paloma Josse, an unhappy 12 year old. Both live quiet and withdrawn lives, trying to find contentment in the life of the mind. They are both drawn out by the appearance of a stranger in their world, a Japanese gentleman who moves into the building and extends a hand of friendship.
The first 2 chapters are a little off-putting (6 pages, work through it!), but then the rabbit hole opens up.....
Fly far little book!
